Epizone started with the vision to create a product range for the entire body specifically formulated for the unique South African climate, our dry cold winters and hot summers.

With the help of a local dermatologist, Andre and Evi van Dyk started what is known as van Dyk Pharmaceuticals in 1982. The first products launched were the Epizone, Epiwash and Xeroderm.  The products were manufactured by a Pharmaceutical company in Johannesburg, distribution happened out of our garage and delivery in our yellow beetle. Today van Dyk Pharmaceuticals have their own modern state of the art factory in Lanseria.

Epizone is made by South Africans for the South African skin, it is a cost effective and is recommended by dermatologists for the treatment of dry skin.
